Select Power FL

We put down our deposit with Patrick over 6 months ago and still do not have a working generator. He has failed to provide me with updates after repeated text messages and calls. After three months of waiting I called Patrick and was told that the county rejected our permit because they did not receive the proper paperwork. We provided them with all the necessary documentation but they failed to submit it to the county. Patrick never notified me. If I hadn’t called I would never have known. When the county finally approved our paperwork then we were in the middle of hurricane season and our installation was delayed . Select Power finally installed our generator a few weeks ago and it is still not hooked up. Patrick told me on multiple occasions we were next in line.When no one showed up he blamed the gas man. . I guess he was tired of giving me excuses so he started ignoring my texts and calls. He finally took my call today and he told me he thought we passed the inspection but he didn’t know for sure.When I told him it would be up and running if it weren’t for the paperwork incident he told me he would fire Shanon if that would make me happy. That just made me more disgusted . I wouldn’t do business with this company if they were the last provider. The only reason we did is because they were a Generac approved provider. When I called Generac they were surprised Select Power charged our credit card for the balance when it wasn’t hooked up.

In spite of the covid pandemic, in spite of employee shortages and in spite of fast approaching hurricane Ian, the job was well done and on time. Both Patrick and Kevin were right there when I called with a concern which they addressed immediately. My Generac home generator provided electricity without fail (even for my neighbors for recharging their cell phones and I-pads. My next-door neighbor even ran an extension cord to power their refrigerator). I would recommend Select Power to anyone without hesitation. Well Done, Select Power. Thank you.

Select Power was very responsive to my call. My generator did not work when Ian hit after just being serviced by another company. This other company installed a new battery, but it was the WRONG type of battery and when called upon did not work. Select Power came out, installed the correct battery and serviced the generator. They also discovered that I needed a new relay switch at one of my transfer switches, so even if my generator would have worked during Ian, I still would not have had any power as I also had a bad relay switch. They diagnosed the problem quickly and installed the new relay. Because of their responsiveness and the efficient manner in which they repaired my unit I am going to establish an Annual Contract with Select Power to maintain my equipment going forward.

Joe and Jorge are friendly, efficient, and explain what they are doing as they do it. That is very important for me to know. They took all the time needed to do the job but waited no time in getting the job done. The service was a well coordinated, well oiled process that they performed. Installation of a Generac generator. The installation was beautiful. From the electrical and the unit, itself, to the gas line and hookup. Patrick and his crew are exemplary. They all pay attention to detail, listen and provide just what we were hoping for. Nick and his crew connecting the gas were equally as professionally, as was Joe and Jorge installing the surge protector. All exceeded our expectations.
